【 教材简解】:
本单元围绕过生日这一话题,通过Miss Li、Su Hai 和Mike对话谈论他们的生日日期以及如何过生日,意在让学生初步感知英语中序数词的使用方法以及日期的表达方式,并对生日当天的庆祝活动进行讨论和分享,同时简单渗透中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。
学情分析:
学生在上一课Chinese festivals通过学习中国的几个传统节日,学习了表达节日所在月份,以及描述人们在不同节日里的常见活动和庆祝方式.而且在五年级上册Unit 2 (A new student)中已经学过first、second、third等序数词,对于本节课中新的序数词的学习和理解,以及讨论和表达过生日的活动语料方面有一定的帮助。
【 目标预设】:
根据学生的整体认识水平及课程标准的要求,确定本课时的教学目标如下:
① 能在语境中朗读、初步理解有关生日及日期单词和短语:birthday, eleventh,eighth, May, together, April. ② 能能通过阅读文本,观察图片,在对话语境中初步感知序数词eighth/eleventh等的用法,初步了解英语中日期的表达方法。
③ 能听懂、会读、会说、会写词组:the eleven of May, a birthday cake,play some games. ④ 能听懂、会读、会说、会写句型:when’s your birthday? It’s on/what
do
you do on your birthdays? I usually..... ⑤ 能通过听录音、看动画,模仿跟读等方法,初步理解课文对话的主要内容,并能运用所学表述文中人物的过生日活动,对比体验感知中西方人过生日的不同方式。

学法:本设计主要从以下 2 个方面加强对学生进行学法指导。

培养自我评价与相互评价的习惯,鼓励学生增加与教师和同学交流学习英语的体会和经验,学会科学评价自己的学习行为与学习效果,进一步形成有效的学习方法,树立积极向上的学习态度。( (2)

交际策略:创设有意义的情景和任务活动, 引导学生通过四人一小组,进行合作学习,让他们围绕课堂任务分工合作,相互探讨、相互交流,从而获得知识、技能和情感体验,变被动学习为主动学习。
【 设计思路】:
本节在课堂设计上尝试使用以下模式:
创建情境- - 设置问题 — 文本探究- - 巩固深化- - 再创情境- - 实践运用。利用歌曲导入入手,创设通话情境,通过问题为突破口,让学生仔细研读文本,充分发掘文本内容并这文本探究中巩固练习本课的重点和难点。在拓展环节创设新的情境,帮助学生构建语言轮回,同时通过开放性训练让学生自由组合,有意识的培养学生的思维能力,通过新的情境的时间和空间,让学生在广阔、开放的环境中启发智慧、发展能力,使思维在延伸拓展中无限生成,将知识内化为自己思考的果实。
